There have been a few Thanos figures released by Toybiz over the years (I have a few, I may post them sometime in the future, but they are in storage at the moment), such as the Fantastic Four Animated figures version, and the Silver Surfer Animated figures. However, those figures, cool though they may be, have never really captured the mad god titan in all his pycho-death loving glory, until Marvel Select. There is one A-list villain character noticeably missing in the Marvel Legends collection, and that s Thanos. I mean, how many Hulk figures to we have to suffer before we see a Thanos fgure already? The Hulk is just a big green dumb gorilla (both movies bombed, Marvel). Quit promoting the douche already. Anyway, I digress, still can't believe how Lionsgate pimped out Thor just to make the Hulk look good in the Hulk Versus DVD (do not buy that piece of biased crap). Anyway, since Thanos here do not have a Marvel Legends figure, the Marvel Select is a very nice alternative. It has almost the same number of articulation, and the materials used are top notch. The sculpting is perfect, it really captures Jim Starlin's favorite baby, in all his genocidal glory. The paint quality control is the problem. I had to sift through a lot of Thanos just to find three perfectly painted pieces (hehe, see what I did there?). Anyway, this figure will fit in very well with your Marvel Legends, even if he is a bit huge, because, Thanos is supposed to be big. Thanos is certainly almost Hulk size. But Thanos has more depth in his few appearances than that gigantic green gorilla will ever have. Highly recommended.
