Here is the hippie, flower power, nature lover, member of the Ultimates, an alternate reality version of the Avengers, Ultimate Thor. The character has his own unique charm, I suppose, but nothing beats the original. This figure is very popular, however, because it is very rare. A loose figure has been known to sell for as much as $50. Finding a mint-in-sealed-card is very difficult, and it seldom appear on ebay. What makes this figure worth owning is that, it is the only rendition of Bryan Hitch's version of Ultimate Thor. Later in the comics, Joe Madureira redesigned the costume, similar to its 616 counterpart. But, as most Ultimates fans, I prefer Hitch's version. It sets it apart from 616 Thor, and the hammer looks so much more intimidating.
The figure has a fallen Hank Pym base, and his signature hammer. It has more articulation than early Marvel Select figure, but it is nowhere near the amount of artculation that an average Marvel Legends figure has. But it is more articulated than your average DC Direct figure, so, this figure is alright. I doubt we will have another version of this guy in Marvel Legends, so, if you are a fan of the original Ultimates, this figure is a must have.
