Shih tzu dogs are naturally playful.
But you have to be careful in taking care of them, because their hair is naturally long, and they do not shed. You have to constantly trim the ones near the eyes because if their hair is a constant source of eye irritation.
Because the shih tzu has a stub nose, they require that their drinks come out of a drinking tube (similar to where pet gerbils drink), because if they drink in a bowl, water enters into their small nose, which can cause them to have breathing problems.

This is Thor, a chow-chow. Born February 9, 2009. Pure breed, male, color red. He is very adorable...and heavy.
Thor is from a champion line. Notice how big his head and paws are?
Chow chow are often aloof. They hardly acknowledge your presence. But Thor here is very playful. I will try to post a video.
Hehe. His feet are still too small, and he is kinda heavy, he cannot climb the stairs, yet.
